The New England National Scenic Trail, a solo photographic exhibition by Xiomaro showcasing the Connecticut portion of the historic hiking route, will be on view April 3 to 14, 2023, at the Connecticut General Assembly’s Legislative Office Building located at 300 Capitol Avenue, Hartford. April is a rainy month. And that got me thinking about my photographs of the New England National Scenic Trail, which is more commonly known as simply the New England Trail. The collection was commissioned by the U.S. National Park Service, the Appalachian Mountain Club, and the Connecticut Forest and Park Association. I always chuckle

The 215 miles of the New England National Scenic Trail (NET) wind through 41 communities in Connecticut and Massachusetts. For the commission, it was suggested that I also photograph off the trail for context on its proximity to urban areas.
